Virtual Socialization

In recent years, so many peoples especially the young people used and liked virtual socialization very much. They found, the cyber world is a safe place where they can open up and live a virtually active and extroverted life, gathering friends, socializing and sharing thoughts in a way that they cannot do outside the cyber world. In this world, they can be become very important persons.

Some examples of social networking sites are Yahoo.com, Friendster, Facebook, and MySpace. These sites allow people to make new friends, send messages, share photos, etc. In recent times, these sites have become very popular amongst old and young alike the world over. Rather than going out in the sun, they would happily dole out a couple of hours gawking on the computer screens and chatting with the friends and the strangers alike

Indeed, the world has shrunk into a small place. The netizens fix the virtual appointments on the net, make new friends, join communities, and share their opinions. It has become the hottest and ultimate destination to fall in love across barriers and to create life-long ties. These social networking sites offers you a world of fantasies and reality bites packed spruced up to your tastes.

Like every other technological gizmos, social networking sites too demands a dose of alertness on the part of the users. There is no dearth of people who use such portals with fake identities. People from the four corners of the world can view social networking sites like Orkut, MySpace and Facebook and a bit of carelessness with the photos and the information you post can land you in deep waters. Although, you can seek like-minded individuals and catch up with your online buddies but you need to be well aware of the potential danger of revealing too much information on your profile

However, remember sometimes trusting a stranger can be life threatening. A bit of extra care will make your virtual world safe from the possible perils of the criminal's treacherous plots

Missing the Snail Mail

Nowadays, most of people used email or mobile that they can contact more quickly, snail mail may be ignored or forgot but with me i like to receive snail mail. Snail mail can help me to show my feeling to my friends and also understand my friend's feeling.I think it's more special than an email or a text message

When you want to send email it takes you only some minutes. And you can send it at home or your office. But snail mail requires more time, you must go to the post office, to buy stamp. And some time the snail mail will be lost and it takes us long time to receive

However, in some cases, the snail mail is very important that email can not replace. Some letters need your signature, your stamp so snail mail is necessary in this situation. Every snail mail usually send to one person. If you want to send more people you must spend more money.

Snail mail is a much easier way to send packages and important documents. The recipient of the letter or document can confirm in writing that he has received the documents in question with a simple signature. A letter writer can write on scented paper the user can smell when the letter is opened.

Therefore, the postal service seems to have gone out of style for many uses today, it has a long history all over the world. The first postal systems in the world originated in Persia and China, and date back to possibly as early as 1700 BC. These early mail systems relied on messengers who rode horses from town to town, and most mail was delivered to government officials or royals.

Education and Technology

Education is very important in our life nowadays and technology has significant influenced in the education. Therefore in the view of most writers, researchers, and practitioners in the field, useful definitions of educational technology must focus both on the process of applying tools for educational purposes and the tools and materials used. As Muffoletto (1994) puts it, "Technology. . . is not a collection of machines and devices, but a way of acting.

Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.

As a field, educational technology emphasizes communication skills and approaches to teaching and learning through the judicious use and integration of diverse media. Scholars in the field examine the uses of innovative media and technologies for education, examining all aspects from direct student learning to management and impacts on institutions. As in all forms of applied technology, the field studies how theoretical knowledge and scientific principles can be applied to problems that arise in a social context.

Practitioners in educational technology seek new and effective ways of organizing the teaching and learning process through the best possible application of technological developments. These activities rely upon a body of knowledge for successful and ethical implementation, rather than routine tasks or isolated technical skills.

Advances in technology are enabling dramatic changes in education content, delivery, and accessibility.  Throughout history, new technologies have facilitated the exponential growth of human knowledge.  In the early twentieth century, the focus was on the use of radios in education.  But since then, innovators have seen technology as a way to improve communication, learning, and the mastery of instructional material.

The next generation of education technologies is facilitating substantial change.  Education technologies are evolving beyond lecture and group work to games, simulations, and augmented reality. Software is creating environments where students can direct the creation of their own knowledge with nearly invisible prompts from teachers.

One possible virtue of digital technology is the cost savings.  During the Great Recession, the education service industry lost over one million jobs. State and local governments cut education spending, and this had ripple effects throughout the sector.  Today educators from universities to elementary schools face an even more difficult task than before with fewer available resources.  Given the political climate of budget cutting, the likelihood of a restoration of funding to pre-recession levels in the near future is low.  In this situation, educational technologies take on increased importance as they seek to help over-burdened teachers deploy the next generation of assistive technologies.
